This will probably be my only post this week as I have a meeting in Austin TX. I leave Friday (first flight out) to return late Sunday night. Part of this week will be devoted to getting ready for said trip…i.e.: dropping off /picking up dry cleaning, outfit shopping, packing ect…Since I usually dress like a slob on the weekends, I have no business casual clothes. My closets consist of Business, Formal & SLOB. So Downtown LA here I come. I hate these meetings. It feels like working 14 days straight. I wish they would have them during the week like normal companies do. But then they’d be paying us. Wouldn’t want to do that. This is my biggest complaint with my company and I can live with it since it’s only twice a year.
On the knitting front, I wonder if I’m the only one who buys yarn for a specific project puts it away then starts something else! I was going through my stash yesterday when I noticed I have several projects that are just waiting for me to begin. Yet I went out and bought yarn for a small project (a one skeiner) for my trip.
To give you some idea of what I’m talking about….
I have all the yarn for the following projects
1) 2 Hannah silk scarves
2) Hat & scarf out of Weekend Knitting
3) Knit & Tonics Somewhat Cowl
4) Noro Hat
5) Sock yarn Hat
6) Fingerless Lace up gloves from AlterKnits
7) Hat & Scarf out of Hand Knit Holidays
8) Cable purse
9) Sophie bag (this is the only project I don’t have the pattern for)
10) 4 pairs of socks.
Let’s just stop there shall we. All of that to do and more and I go out a buy Silk Garden for Knit & Tonic's Beret. Remember I ’ve already knit one beret, Mercy. Which I have yet to wear, or put in my FO photo album. How many Berets does a girl need? Maybe I shouldn’t ask that question Since I see on other blogs people knitting multiple pairs of mittens and countless hats. Of course they all live back east where it snows. I live in sunny So Cal. But in 2 hours or less I can be in the snow. I’ve always wanted to learn how to snow board…Maybe next year at least I’ll be warm and fashionable.
